Sick at home watching movies all day

It’s never really fun to be sick. But you take the day off work or school. You don’t shower. You don’t change out of your pajamas. Maybe someone brings you food, looks after you. Until you’re better, you don’t have to do anything at all. So you lie on the couch feeling like trash. Maybe you close your eyes and sleep here and there, but you have movies on all day and all night long. You don’t even have to worry about what time you go to bed because you’re taking tomorrow off, too. That’s everything to me. What’s everything to you?

Waking up in the middle of the night

You wake up tired, not even close to ready to shower for work or school. If only you had a few more minutes . . . Wait, it’s the middle of the night. You only went to bed a couple hours ago. You still have a few hours before your alarm goes off. And you can stay in your cozy bed after all. That’s everything to me. What’s everything to you?

Halloween masks

There are many reasons why I love Halloween masks. As a kid, I always loved dressing up as something scary to frighten people. I could become another person. I also loved trick-or-treating. What kid doesn't like getting candy? But there was even more to trick-or-treating for me -- there was all the excitement of going up to scary houses, going into strange neighborhoods far from home . . . Putting on a mask and smelling that rubber inside always reminds me of the thrills and joys of Halloween. That's everything to me. What’s everything to you?

Sheets

I love bed sheets. I really love bed sheets when they've just been washed and put on my bed. Does anyone else like the feel of the edges of bed sheets? I run those edges through my fingers. That's everything to me. What’s everything to you?

Pumpkin candies

The stores usually bring them out in September, just before the start of fall. Pumpkin candies, that mellowcreme candy corn in the shape of little pumpkins, have been showing up for Halloween season for as long as I can remember, and every time I eat one of those sweet babies, a rush of all my Halloween memories flood my mind. That's everything to me. What’s everything to you?

Actual, real books . . . with real pages

E-books are fine. I can list many reasons why e-books are actually better than physical books. But actual, real books with pages and such can never be replaced. I actually like to smell my books, especially when they're new. That's everything to me. What’s everything to you?
